The Need
NapUp solves the significant problem of head flops, when riding as a passenger and catching a much needed nap. When falling asleep in the car, your head naturally starts flopping from side to side, forwards and backwards, making the ride uncomfortable, less secure, and your neck stiff and sore. This is a very common and irritating situation, and at NapUp we decided there has to be a better way. We put together a team of top designers, orthopedists and engineers and NapUp Ride was born – smart, sophisticated, yet simple to use.
The Solution
Napup is the first real solution to allow the passenger who is need of a snooze, to sleep comfortably and securely sitting up. This patented head support with its high tech approach in design, high quality materials and compliance with US safety standards is truly in its own league.
The soft head support device easily fits on the car headrest, and is portable and lightweight. It is made of two parts, the soft, elasticized head support that covers the built in headrest in the car, and a forehead strap that connects to the head support with high quality Velcro. When not in use, the forehead strap is in the up position and is not felt. Once the passenger is feeling drowsy, they can easily lower the forehead strap and will enjoy a flop free sleep. There is a small gap between the head and the strap, which ensures gentle, non-restrictive contact with the forehead only when the head begins to fall. The forehead strap can easily be adjusted to fit different head sizes, and benefits passengers from ages 9 to 99!
Suitable also for children seated on backless boosters, provided that their head reaches the head rest fully.
