Children can build their favourtie zoo and water world now with Wild Animals and Sea Creatures sets. Each set comes with six animals and sea creatures respectively. They are also compatible with the other Popbo Blocs series. The possibilties are endless.

Stage 1 (6-18m)

Objective: Sense stimulation - touching and feeling.
Method: Wild Animals are soft plastic blocks of different sizes and shapes. All the blocks have different textures on them. Encourage children to touch and feel the bumpy textures on the pieces.

Objective: Fine motor skills training - grasping.
Method: Encourage children to grasp the plastic pieces with both their right and left hands.

Objective: Fine and gross motor skills training - twisting.
Method: Link any two of the pieces together. Encourage children to twist them in opposite directions.

Objective: Fine and gross motor skills training - disconnecting Popbo Blocs.
Method: Link any two of the pieces together. Encourage children to disconnect them by pulling them sideways in opposite directions. This trains horizontal movement in their hands and arms.



Stage 2 (12-24m)

Objective: Cognitive training - learning animals.
Method: Use the Wild Animals to teach children different animals.

Objective: Cognitive training - learning body parts and facial features.
Method: Use the Wild Animals to teach children different body parts and facial features.

Objective: Cognitive training – pointing out body parts and facial features.
Method: Name different body parts and facial features. Then encourage your child to point to them.

Objective: Cognitive training – learning colors.
Method: Use the Wild Animals to teach children different colors.

Objective: Cognitive training - learning the difference between a cavity and a protrusion.
Method: Use the Wild Animals to teach children between a cavity and a protrusion.

Objective: Gross and fine motor skills training - connecting Popbo Blocs.
Method: Using concepts learned from activity 2.5, allow children to freely connect the pieces. This trains their gross and fine motor skills, as well as their judgement of space.

Objective: Bath time.
Method: These plastic toys are great for bath time. Children can build with them in the water too.

 

Stage 3 (18-36m+)

Objective: Creative thinking training - storytelling with picture books.
Method: The Wild Animals sets come with picture books. These can be used as background scenes for storytelling. The books are also great for learning new words.

Objective: Construction training - building with other Popbo Blocs.
Method: Wild Animals sets, Sea Creatures sets and other Popbo Blocs are all compatible. Children can combine different sets to build new configurations. (Note: Other Sea Creatures sets are sold separately).
